I am so Thankful and honored that Silent Spells was kind enough to nominate me in this bookshelf tag. Have a look at her blog its pretty awesome!
Well here are the rules for this tag:
Answer the following questions about books, and then tag five other bloggers. You can answer the questions any way you want, whether it’s on your blog, in a video, or a combination of the two. Then let whoever tagged you know when your post is up so they can read it.
Questions:
1 – Is there a book you really want to read but haven’t because it’ll make you cry?
I’m sure there are plenty of books out there that will make me cry but the one that I have already read and always makes me cry is “Where the Red Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls. I know its a classic and the first time I read it was in high school but every time I read it (yes I check it out of the library once in a while) it makes me cry.
2 – Pick one that helped introduce you to a new genre
I am a HUGE fan of many authors. If you look at previous post of mine My Favorite Authors you will see I vary genre’s that I have change. Specifically though I can say in middle school I was into Stephen King, R.L. Stine and Daniel Steel. The book that got me into a different genre all together is the Sweet Valley High Series By Francine Pascal.
3 – Find a book that you want to re-read
hmm… Thats a lot of books lol… But If I would have to say… It would be the “Casteel Series” by V.C. Andrews
4 – Is there a book series you read but wish you hadn’t?
I can actually say there is not lol… I won’t say there won’t be but as right now I have liked all book series that I have read.
5 – If your house was burning down and all of your family & pets were safe, which book would you go back inside to save?
Since my book collection has been shrinking I can say the one’s that I have now that I would save is the Amelia Peabody Series by Elizabeth Peters.. Why, because that is not only my husband’s favorite author and books (he doesn’t like reading AT ALL!!) but I truly have enjoyed those series.
6 – Is there one book on your bookshelf that brings fond memories?
hmm… I would say the “50 Shades of Grey” trilogy by E. L. James. At first I didn’t want to read it because of the “erotica” rumors and all. Then my husband said he thought that I would like it ( think it was some sort of hint thrown in there lol). He bought me the first book I read it loved it and its the first book ever that was gifted to me from anyone and especially from someone special hubby!
7 – Find a book that has inspired you the most.
I think this is one of the few easiest but hardest question lol.. I can say without a doubt the book that became my inspiration to change my life and way of thinking was the Quran. I know this might not fit the “book/reader/ or writer” theme of this tag but to me there is no more inspiration then the word or Allah/God (SWT).
8 – Do you have any autographed books?
I did once but I unfortunately lost it. Now though I do not but hopeful that one day I will have many.
9 – Find the book that you have owned the longest.
Well that would be the Death Series by Nora Roberts written as J.D. Robb
10 – Is there a book by an author that you never imagine you would read or enjoy?
Okay I am not sure how this one will “fit” in the tag theme but this is my pick. Muhammad ( a story of God’s Messenger and the Revelation That Changed the World) by Deepak Chopra.
Now I get to pick 5 of my fellow bloggers, I know that we might not know each other or interact on WP a lot. But I also follow you because I find your blogs to be inspirational, information, enjoyable and etc.. It really is hard to pick but hopefully you all don’t mind.
My Nominees:
1 – CCChanel41
2 – Robertokaji
3 – Lindaghill
4 – Keithgarrettpoetry
5 – Confessions of a Publshed Author
Thank you again for the tag Silent Spells I am grateful that you thought of me.
Until Next Time,
LK
I’m so glad that you decided to do it! Your answers are interesting. I remember reading Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews and I loved it! I haven’t read the Casteel series, though. I need to check out Nora Roberts, I heard she writes really well!
