Wilderness

I smelled the breeze
of wilderness

It takes me away
and there I saw
a cat with her cubs

She stared into
My challenging eyes
And I to hers

She saw
In my eyes that I wasn’t a threat
To her or her precious cubs
She let me go away

I walked and smelled
the breeze that
took me away
to a distant land
Only I could be in

Just for a moment
I went to that peacefulness
That Wilderness

That lets my spirit fly
That lets me ravage
Love
or destroy

This wilderness
Inside my head
A wilderness
I dont want to leave
