Okay this is a bit of a rant here…. I’ll keep it short I promise..
I understand that in this day and age slow mail is not used by family members, friends or even some utility companies. Most of our bills are paid through electronically. Most of our Congratulations, thoughts, and other type of communication is done via: email, chat, and any other social media that is out there.
What is wrong with us! What happen to the human contact! Today you can’t have a conversation with someone unless they or you are glued to your smartphone! What happen to watching television without having to ALSO be on your smartphone looking at comments of the program you are watching?
What happen to actually going to the store and buy clothes! Okay wait… This last one is me… I actually LOVE buying my clothes online. I guess this really is the only exception for me….
I understand that technology is needed, I know we need it in order to pay bills and to communicate for business and some family matters. What I don’t understand is that we are using this technology for EVERYTHING! I mean I can’t have a proper conversation with some family members because they are on the phone. I can not enjoy watching a movie with same family members because they are texting or chatting or facebooking…. you get where I am going with this right?
If your phone is way more important then spending or talking to me, please do me a favor and let me know. I won’t get mad, you won’t even hurt my feelings. Why because the few family members and friends that I have know how to spend time with me. They give me the time and attention as I give them.
