Until Next Time,

A bit late Sorry…

Yes I said it. I am Muslim and I said Happy Thanksgiving, why because this is the time when our history states that the Indians came and share the table with the pilgrims. It was a day to be thank ful for being in a foreign land and being received with welcoming arms by people that didn’t now have any inclination to hate these newcomers.

Yes I said it. I am Muslim and I am an American Citizen, it is my right to celebrate my countries history. Even though it is conflicting and what happen afterwards I doubt that was the original plan of the pilgrims.

So yes if you celebrate Thanksgiving then please accept my humble most heartfelt congratulations. I hope that you are celebrating this day with family or loved ones that accept you and love you for who you are.
May Allah (SWT) bless you and your loved was with love and harmony.
From my heart to your home,

Let’s turn it around and Fight Back

I’ve been gone for a few.. well with my hubbies buisness trip taking us out of town and I starting on my projects I have been busy.

Last week was a sad.. if you didn’t hear (not sure since I have not read any post about), the city of San Bernardino, California a hospital that specializes in helping families of special needs patients was attacked. I know everywhere in the world terrorist are going and noone is safe.

That same week in Las Vegas, Ca three different Catholic churches had four men come in while they were at mass stating “the Pope is the devil” and “turn to Jesus he is your saviour”. Now I was born a Catholic and the religion does believe in Jesus and that he is the son of God and that he is the saviour. I do not understand these “Christians” protesters since to me it seems they are attacking people that have a very similar faith as them.

Today on the radio I heard that the Los Angeles school district here in California received and electronic bomb threat. So today all the schools were shut down..

The world is coming undone and I know pitting out negativity brings negativity, maybe instead of letting these negative groups succeed in dividing us all we fight back.

We fight back by going to a Church, Mosque, Temple or any house of worship and have an opened mind to learn and accept each other. It’s okay to question, to fear the unknown but let’s stop letting fear freeze us into dividing ourselves further.

Let’s fight back by volunteering, going to our own houses of worship and try to set up an Interfaith event. Yes some are already out there but we need more. Let’s unite with love, acceptance and kindness.

We all have been created by ONE, regardless how we follow or practice I truly believe all religions teach us on thing…

Acceptance, to be kind to one another. Let’s turn off our electronics for 1 or w hours each day and have actual family time. Read the Bible, Torah, Quran not individually but as a family. Let the kids ask questions, you ask questions and do your research.

Let’s not forget that our pastors, minister, preacher or imam are the know all of our religion. A person that cannot accept a different way of thinking may not be the source you want to put all of your trust in. In the end they are men and woman just as us and are flawed. We are not perfect nor will we ever be.

Let’s fight with love and spread hope. Let’s put hope and dreams back into our own homes and slowly filter it out.

If you see someone that has less then you, would it hurt giving them something that you have an abundance of. One plate now days can feed two to three people.. let’s remember that gluttony is a sin.

I’m not saying let’s not have fun but let’s also not forget there are many out there that could use a smile, hug, and ear to be heard, a shoulder to cry on.

We can’t fix the world overnight, let’s be that whisper and fix it one person at a time..

Until Next Time,

Dear @realdonaldtrump,

A Candle stands alone

A candle stands alone, vigilant at keeping the darkness at bay. There is a small hope a spark of love that is shining through for you to see. Don’t work on the darkness but cast it away with all of your might. Work on reaching that candle the one that stands alone.

Grasp it and never let it go, let its warmth sooth your troubled soul. Let the light from it blind you and help you banish the darkness from you. This candle stands alone, it is yours to keep, never lose hope.

It’s a whisper of hope, a cry of victory that will give you peace. Let the peacefulness of its stillness sooth our anguish and pain. A candle stands alone, through all the darkness around it, it stands vigilant to its role.

This candle stands alone, its yours to keep. Let it help you, sooth you and give you the strength you need.

Welcome to my Personal life on Instagram

I am about to venture and open up even more. This is part of the changes I was talking about in previous post a few weeks ago. I love my privacy, I believe there are so many sick people out there that will take images of others and twist them to fit their needs.

I believe I have slowly been venturing to this path but I have been dreading it. I can say I am not 100% sure if I still want to do this but if you want change and you put yourself out there then you might as well doing it all the way. Slowly I have posted pictures of our travels but none with faces. My husband loves his privacy but lately if I post anything with him on it I get his permission first.

Stating this I am not going to be flooding this blog with person pictures of us or my family. If you would like to “see” me and a bit more of my personal life I just opened up to the public my Instagram account. Sorry I did have a facebook but I just deactivated it and that was waay to personal…

So the name of my Instagram is Mrs.lyk and the name on my pictures or how you can “talk” to me on there is a_loving_wife
I welcome you to my life with open arms even though I fear this might bite me in the a@s afterward… Some things you just need to take the leap…

Until Next Time,

Liza Khan (yes finally this is my real name displayed here)

You are my Hero, the one I look up to the image of what I want to become…

You are the one I look up to and I see the image of what I want to become. You have lived a hard life, battling family, strangers, hunger, pain and discrimination. That didn’t stop you from fighting back, to stand up to what you believe in. Protecting the young, standing in front of someone that cannot fight back.

You are my hero, the one I look up to the imagine of what I want to become. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t know how to be a decent human being. Your leadership is an example many should try to implement, it is horrigying how many opt for hatered and division. You though, you stand alone even though your surrounded.

You are my hero, the one I look up to the image of what I want to become. Even though some fights you fell you managed to get back up and keep fighting. Even though your spirit would falter you wouldn’t let it break. You knew that fighting for good could get you killed, banned, and mocked. You stand here tall with pride and with unwavering faith.

You are my hero, the one I look up to the image of what I want to become. I have just started my life but seeing your example I try to follow your footsteps. I am proud to be called one of your one, to stand against evil and to be a warrior of God. Many will falter, will change their convictions and run to become the weak.

I give you my word of honor that I will not falter, I have been tested and there will be more. I will stand as tall as the sky and wide as the oceans. I will be unrelenting, I will be the force that protects the weak, the victims and yes even the cowards. I will forever be the warrior of God as I have always been and if my life is forfieted then I will relenquish it if I know that the innocent are protected.

We are a few but we are a force that will not let hate or evil keep winning. This is my revolution this is my war I will stand and fight,, I will stand as my hero before me did.

You are my hero, the one I look up to the image of what I want to become.
Until Next Time,

Lets Show the Manners We were Taught at Home..

If you have read my post Book Reading… I have a couple of comments down there that of course has nothing to do with the post. One commenter I refused to keep dialoguing with since I felt they were commenting to insult. They already had made up their mind which is fine, I might not like it but everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs.

I do not hate or will hate anyone just because they do not see it “may way” I’m a very open minded individual (or I like to think so) that acceptance anyone’s opinion even though it might hurt. I do have my limits though. Islam is my religion and I am open to talk to anyone that has questions or wants to talk about the differences. I am NOT on here to CONVERT OR REVERT ANYONE, I am NOT on here to push my religion onto ANYONES THROAT. These are my opinions and my way of life, all I ask is that you respect that. If you can not or will not then I will ( Thank God for this feature) moderate you and just trash your comment. It doesn’t mean I feel your opinion is not worthy of my blog it means that I will not tolerate my religion being insulted and disrespected.

I’m sure if I start bashing Christianity and putting all the negative History this religion has some of you if not all of you would be hurt and I’m sure would either lash out or unfollow me. Everyone has and believes their truth as they perceive it to be.  It does not mean they or I am wrong thats just life and we should learn to respect that.
On the topic of a different commenter you probably know her, she asked me a couple of questions. My responses were long and I feel it deserves a blog on its own. If you want to read her questions and my answers please Click here to view them.

IF any of you or for the ones that are just passing by please feel free to comment, question but do so respectfully…

I have my opinions and I base them on my upbringing, educational background, research, mentors conversations, faith and religion ( I believe faith and religion are two separate thought process).

Until Next Time,

Holy Quran Surah Al-Baqara Versus 2:162 – 2:179

They will abide therein (under the curse in Hell), their punishment will neither be lightened, nor will they be reprieved.

And your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God – Allah), La ilaha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allah sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Ayat (proofs, evidences, signs, etc.) for people of understanding.

And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah). They love them as they love Allah. But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is Severe in punishment.

When those who were followed, disown (declare themselves innocent of) those who followed (them), and they see the torment, then all their relations will be cut off from them.

And those who followed will say: “If only we had one more chance to return (to the worldly life), we would disown (declare ourselves as innocent from) them as they have disowned (declared themselves as innocent from) us.” Thus Allah will show them their deeds as regrets for them. And they will never get out of the Fire.

O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and good on the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily, he is to you an open enemy.

[Shaitan (Satan)] commands you only what is evil and Fahsha (sinful), and that you should say against Allah what you know not.

When it is said to them: “Follow what Allah has sent down.” They say: “Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following.” (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

And the example of those who disbelieve, is as that of him who shouts to the (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand.

O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allah, if it is indeed He Whom you worship.

He has forbidden you only the Maytatah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a scrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity without wilful disobedience nor transgressing due limits, then there is no sin on him. Truly, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

2:174. Verily, those who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book, and purchase a small gain therewith (of worldly things), they eat into their bellies nothing but fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor purify them, and theirs will be a painful torment.

Those are they who have purchased error at the price of Guidance, and torment at the price of Forgiveness. So how bold they are (for evil deeds which will push them) to the Fire.

That is because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And verily, those who disputed as regards the Book are far away in opposition.

It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allah, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masakin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and to set slaves free, performs As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and gives the Zakat, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.) in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are Al-Muttaqun (pious – see V. 2:2).

O you who believe! Al-Qisas (the Law of Equality in punishment) is prescribed for you in case of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But if the killer is forgiven by the brother (or the relatives, etc.) of the killed against blood money, then adhering to it with fairness and payment of the blood money, to the heir should be made in fairness. This is an alleviation and a mercy from your Lord. So after this whoever transgresses the limits (i.e. kills the killer after taking the blood money), he shall have a painful torment.

And there is (a saving of) life for you in Al-Qisas (the Law of Equality in punishment), O men of understanding, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious – see V. 2:2).
