My Daily Prayer

Allah (SWT) please forgive me if any of this information is incorrect or not 100% accurate. You are Gracious and Forgiving, I am just trying to shed light in the darkness that is  surrounding ALL your children. Help me and guide me to -make my words be understood. – Ameen

As a continuation of a conversation I started with Joe Gregory, about the post I Submitted called Allah Akbar Allah Akbar. I understand that right now the media is portraying Muslims as terrorist that want to kill all Non-Muslims. I can understand the fear.

What I like to see is that people that have questions are starting to ask them. We as Muslims have the obligation to talk to them, if we don’t then how can we fight off this stigma?

Muslims have to pray 5 times a day, this is an OBLIGATION. Of course you have some that do not pray, others never miss a prayer and there are still others that make up their prayers before going to bed.

Just as Christians I’m sure that are a variety on how they practice their religion Muslims also has it. Here is just one of MANY prayers that Muslims can pray. This is a prayer that I to this date have not been able to memorize, but I have my book that guides me.

Hopefully this can shed more light to those who have an open mind and are willingly to hear what Islam and us Muslims practice.

When you pray there are certain Ra’kat which is just meaning how many times you need to say the prayer through out the day. These two different prayers are recited when you pray.

Example:

For the Frajr prayer you pray the first prayer then the second prayer that is 2 Ra’kat. For the Zuhr, Asr and Isha prayer you pray them first prayer, then second prayer the first then second. For the Maghrib prayer you do the first prayer, then second then first and then you add the last part of the second prayer towards the end.

2 Ra’kat is for Fajr prayer ( morning, when the sun is rising), 4 Ra’kat for Zuhr prayer ( around lunch time), 4 Ra’kat for Asr prayer (early afternoon), 3 Ra’kat for Maghrib prayer (when the sun is setting), 4 Ra’Kat for Isha pray (once the sun is completely gone)

These time vary depending on the city and state or country you live in. Also you try to pray towards Makka which is for Muslims the Holy Land.

Starting Prayer

First Ra’kat:

Allah Akbar

O Allah! keep me apart from my sins (faults) as you have kept apart the east and west. O Allah clean me from my sins as a white garment is cleaned from dirt. O Allah wash me off my sins with water, snow and hail.

I seek refuge in Allah, the All -Kn0wing, the All-Hearing, from Satan the accursed, from his evil suggestions and from his puffing up and from his witchcraft. In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are Allah’s, the Lord of the Alamin (Trustworthy). The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The Only Owner of the day of Recompense. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. He is Allah, the only One, Allah the Self-Sufficient Master, He begets not, nor was He begotten. There is no one co-equal or comparable unto Him.

Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Most Great)

Glorified is my Lord, the Most Great (recite 3 times)

Allah hears those who praise him. O our Lord, and all praise if to you

Allah is the Most Great

Glorified is my Lord, The Most High (recite 3 times)

O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me and guide me and hold me and heal me and provide sustenance for me and raise me up

Allah is the Most Great

Glorified is my Lord, the Most High (recite 3 times)

Allah is the Most Great

**Ending of first Ra’kat***

Second Ra’kat (also used for the last Ra’kat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise and thanks are Allah’s, The Lord of the Alamin (Trustworthy). The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The Only Owner of the day of Recompense. You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Way. The way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray. – Ameen

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, We have granted you Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise). Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (To Him Only). For he who hates you, he will be cut off (from prosperity in this world and in the Hereafter).

Allahu Akbar

Gloried is my Lord, The Most Great (recite 3 times)

Allah hears those who praise him. O our Lord, and all praise is you.

Allah is the Most Great

Gloried is my Lord, the Most High (recite 3 times)

O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me and guide me and hold me and heal me and provide sustenance for me and raise me up.

Allah Akbar

Glorified is my Lord, the Most High (recite 3 times)

Allah Akbar

All the compliments, prayers and good things are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet and Allah’s Mercy and Blessing be on you. Peace be on us and on the true pious devotees of Allah.

I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and I testify that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

O Allah bestow your favor on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You have bestowed your favor on Ibrahim (Abraham) and on the family of Ibrahim (Abraham), You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah bestow your favor on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad as You have bestowed your favor on Ibrahim (Abraham) and on the family of Ibrahim (Abraham), You are Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell-Fire, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trails of life and death, and from the evil of the trail of the False Messiah.

Peace be upon you and the Mercy of Allah

Peace be upon you and the Mercy of Allah.

My Awards Updates

I have two blogger awards that I received, I want to thank the two bloggers that nominated me for them. I want to apologize and let you know that I have not put those on here because I haven’t had the opportunity to have my husbands laptop.

Working on the ipad and trying to do the links and post pictures is a hassle for me. I’m not sure if any of you use an ipad for posting but for some reason when I try to many things on here my app actually freezes then I lose my content.

Hopefully WordPress will read this and find a solution, or maybe I just need to have more patience?? lol…

This weekend my hubby has off so I will ask for him to bring his laptop home in order for me to post my awards on here.

I just wanted to make sure that I let the two bloggers know Ritu and La Sabrosona, Thank you again for the nominations and I have not forgetten.

Until Next Time,

LK

Inspirational Awards and I Nominate You

I would like to say that I am again honored by being nominated by another blogger. For someone to chose you, to have put in the time and effort to describe and link your blog to their own tells you that your words matter. I have never thought in a million years that I would have such honor as this in the WP world.

I love reading and love seeing what other bloggers have out there. Everyday I learn something new from each person that I follow. CCChanel41 is a new blogger that I started to follow a couple weeks (not sure if its been more sorry) ago. I had no idea what DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder also known as MPD) was. Thank you very much CChanel41 for the nomination as well as having a blog that is not only informative in so many ways but also inspires me in so many more.

As all nominations or tags are concern ( lol what do I know right?) there are rules. Of course we aren’t in school and you follow the rules as you see fit ( Lets live on the wild side and break a few!). Aside from the rules of course you have to pick people (great way to meet new people and get to know them if your shy!!). So below I will list the rules then do what I need to do to comply with the award and then list my own nominees…

Rules:

1. Thank the person that nominated you and give a link to their blog (common sense right? 🙂 )

2. List the rules & display the award on your blog ( done and will be done lol)

3. Share seven (7) facts about yourself (hmmm… thats going to be hard for me I’m boring!)

4. Nominate up to fifteen (15) blogs that inspire you, on your blog ( don’t forget their link)

5. Let them know that you nominated

Well now to see if I can post up the picture I hope this works lol ( I’m still learning so stop rolling your eyes if I get it wrong lol )…

IMG_0309.JPG

Now seven (7) things about me…. hmm… Sorry if I repeat from other post but here goes…

1. A couple of years ago (maybe 5 or 6) I got my inspiration to write again because of hubby and his friend support.

2. I am writing a book (Shadow Voices) and I still don’t know if I want to publish it through an ebook website or traditional publish house.

3. I’m bad at punctuation, grammar and run on sentences (but you have already figured that out right?)

4. I love my family (to include my in-laws!) and will defend them even if I have to go to Hell.

5. I LOVE my husband, he is my KING, I never thought that I would be able to love someone so unconditionally as I do him.

6. I am a Veteran. Yes I served my country for 8 years and then served 2 more as a federal Marine Civilian.

7. I enjoy writing and posting on WP, I love the community of support and friendly people. In a way this is a form of therapy I use to push all those negative thoughts that are in my mind day in and day out.

Sooo….. Hopefully I haven’t pushed or bored you click the unfollow button lol.. So now that you know a bit about me lets see if we get to know a little bit more about the bloggers that have not only inspired me, taught me more about WP and are very enjoyable to read.

1. Coffee with Noor She has a beautiful way of showing imagery in the poetry she writes. I love reading her post daily.

2. OM a man that speaks his mind and loves debating. Check him out also in learning how gain more followers and how to navigate on WP (especially if your a novice like me!).

Hopefully you take a look at their great blogs, I’m sure you will look forward to reading their post as much as I do.

Until Next Time

The Bookshelf Tag

I am so Thankful and honored that Silent Spells was kind enough to nominate me in this bookshelf tag. Have a look at her blog its pretty awesome!

Well here are the rules for this tag:

Answer the following questions about books, and then tag five other bloggers. You can answer the questions any way you want, whether it’s on your blog, in a video, or a combination of the two. Then let whoever tagged you know when your post is up so they can read it.

Questions:

1 – Is there a book you really want to read but haven’t because it’ll make you cry?

I’m sure there are plenty of books out there that will make me cry but the one that I have already read and always makes me cry is “Where the Red Fern Grows” by Wilson Rawls. I know its a classic and the first time I read it was in high school but every time I read it (yes I check it out of the library once in a while) it makes me cry.

2 – Pick one that helped introduce you to a new genre

I am a HUGE fan of many authors. If you look at previous post of mine My Favorite Authors you will see I vary genre’s that I have change. Specifically though I can say in middle school I was into Stephen King, R.L. Stine and Daniel Steel. The book that got me into a different genre all together is the Sweet Valley High Series By Francine Pascal.

3 – Find a book that you want to re-read

hmm… Thats a lot of books lol… But If I would have to say… It would be the “Casteel Series” by V.C. Andrews

4 – Is there a book series you read but wish you hadn’t?

I can actually say there is not lol… I won’t say there won’t be but as right now I have liked all book series that I have read.

5 – If your house was burning down and all of your family & pets were safe, which book would you go back inside to save?

Since my book collection has been shrinking I can say the one’s that I have now that I would save is the Amelia Peabody Series by Elizabeth Peters.. Why, because that is not only my husband’s favorite author and books (he doesn’t like reading AT ALL!!) but I truly have enjoyed those series.

6 – Is there one book on your bookshelf that brings fond memories?

hmm… I would say the “50 Shades of Grey” trilogy by E. L. James. At first I didn’t want to read it because of the “erotica” rumors and all. Then my husband said he thought that I would like it ( think it was some sort of hint thrown in there lol). He bought me the first book I read it loved it and its the first book ever that was gifted to me from anyone and especially from someone special hubby!

7 – Find a book that has inspired you the most.

I think this is one of the few easiest but hardest question lol.. I can say without a doubt the book that became my inspiration to change my life and way of thinking was the Quran. I know this might not fit the “book/reader/ or writer” theme of this tag but to me there is no more inspiration then the word or Allah/God (SWT).

8 – Do you have any autographed books?

I did once but I unfortunately lost it. Now though I do not but hopeful that one day I will have many.

9 – Find the book that you have owned the longest.

Well that would be the Death Series by Nora Roberts written as J.D. Robb

10 – Is there a book by an author that you never imagine you would read or enjoy?

Okay I am not sure how this one will “fit” in the tag theme but this is my pick. Muhammad ( a story of God’s Messenger and the Revelation That Changed the World) by Deepak Chopra.

Now I get to pick 5 of my fellow bloggers, I know that we might not know each other or interact on WP a lot. But I also follow you because I find your blogs to be inspirational, information, enjoyable and etc.. It really is hard to pick but hopefully you all don’t mind.

My Nominees:

1 – CCChanel41
2 – Robertokaji
3 – Lindaghill
4 – Keithgarrettpoetry
5 – Confessions of a Publshed Author

Thank you again for the tag Silent Spells I am grateful that you thought of me.

Until Next Time,
LK
